E.A. Wallis Budge was a prominent English scholar and historian who specialized in the study of the history of Egypt. Budge worked for the British museum and wrote many in depth books on the ancient Near East and he was knighted due to his contributions. Legends of the Gods, published in 1912, is a book that features nine of the most interesting Egyptian legends and Budge's commentaries on them.
