Pouqueville place it near Yanina, Mr. Hawkins (Walpole 2. 473.) at Paramythia. The Dodona of Homer (II. /3', 750.) appears to be in the north of Thessaly; but a concurrence of testimony leads us to regard Thesprotia as the earliest seat of the Hellenes, and therefore the site of the original Dodona. viro friyiji wej.
