The Red Chapel at Karnak, started in the reign of Hatshepsut and finished by her successor Thutmosis III, was subject to extensive conservation and restoration work in the 1970s, which has allowed this first complete study of the building. Volume 1 contains complete facsimilies and photographs of the reliefs.
