Author Description

This is a study of the inscriptions from the Sanctuary of Apollo Hypoakraios in Athens. This sacred site is located in one of the many caves that nestle beneath the Acropolis. The history and topography of the site are discussed, before an in-depth of analysis of the votive plaques, all but one of which are Roman in date.
