Excerpt from Der Athenerstaat: Eine Aristotelische Schrift Daß die Schrift, welche auf den Papyrusrollen erhalten ist, aus dem aristotelisch en Staatcnwerke stamme, ist trotz der fehlenden Überschrift unleugbar bewiesen, da über fünfzigschon vorher bekannte Fragmente mit dem jetzt vorliegenden Wortlaute übereinstimmen. Der Verdacht daß der Papyrus eine moderne Fälschung sei, oder die handschriften-entdeckung sonst irgendwie auf Betrug bemhc, ist von vornherein abzu weisen. Wir haben vielmehr hier den Teil des aristotelischen Werkes, welcher sich mit dem Staatswesen der Athener beschäftigte, vor uns: der Eingang fehlt, der Schluß ist stark verstümmelt.
