
Alcibiades was a rich nobleman who rose to the heights of becoming a general in the Athenian Navy. He was called back to face charges of impiety and destroying the Hermes. He fled to Sparta where he impregnated Queen Timaea, fled to Persia, then was called back to Athens to head the Army and Navy. After the near destruction of the Athenian fleet, he fled back to Persia where he was assassinated by his enemies.
