Author Description

The Odyssey has been read and celebrated since it was first written down some 2,800 years ago. It tells the tale of the hero Odysseus, his ten-year-long journey home from the Trojan War, and the struggles he encountered once he arrived. It is considered one of the greatest adventure stories ever written: a tale of gods and men, faithful wives and seductive goddesses, hope and fear, love and lust, joy and sadness, and monsters and madness. Above all, though, this is the tale of a family torn apart and one man's determination to come home and set things right.
