You should know-this is the one book I didn't want to write. But I've come to realize that God's persuasive tenacity far exceeds mine. You see, when I was a little girl, I thought it was normal. Normal to intuitively pick up on other people's private thought lives, often understanding the inner workings of their intentions better than they did themselves. Normal to dream of events to come-meeting people for the first time with familiarity, knowing we had previously met in a dream. Normal to perceive the very active presence of light and dark beings surrounding us, battles raging in an unseen realm seemingly much more real than our own. I rarely shared these experiences. It didn't take long to realize they were confusing-even strange-to others. So I watched. I listened. I waited. Years later, I would discover these were hallmark traits of what 1 Corinthians 12:7-11 describes as the Discerning of Spirits. And the gift continued to grow. In the weeks following a pivotal evening, I became increasingly aware of angels and their facilitation of God's works during times of intercession. God introduced me to specific angels, led me in varying encounters, and began to explain the realities of the heavenly realm-as if I were a naturalist cataloging Kingdom flora and fauna. These encounters came sporadically, unexpectedly-during worship, while prepping dinner, just before sleep, even while sorting the mail. At times, they came in clusters over a few days; other times, months or even a year would pass in silence. I've carefully recorded and recounted these supernatural moments in this collection. There is no formula, no perfect sequence-only raw stories of walking with the Holy Spirit and the companions I met along the way.
