For about a thousand years, Iranians were followers of a religion whose prophet brought about the first monotheistic religion, which spread far beyond the country's borders. This prophet was called Zoroaster, and his faith was called Mazdayasna. During the long Mazdean epoch, Iran had seen many ups and downs and, due to foreign invasions, had suffered high losses in its rich cultural field. This research is about the life and teachings of Ashoo Zoroaster and the history of the Mazdean religion from the beginning of the Median Empire [ca. 678 BC – 549 BC] to the downfall and after the Sassanid Empire [226 AD - 651 AD].
