Derrick, a once peacekeeping soldier has been taken to Somalia after a civil war breaks throughout the country in 1990. Marian, a young woman who is forced to abide by the rules of her country. Both madly in love and have hopes of being together outside of a world that lives underneath strict cultural boundaries. When tragedy strikes, Derrick is discharged and returns to America leaving behind Marian with a problem she can't face alone, she is left with choices that will change her life forever. Making multiple sacri ces to hopefully one day be joined with her true love, Marian sets off on a journey that started with the most tragic day in Somalia history and her own history...
