Rumors of a shape-shifting with in a part of the Southwest untouched by nuclear war. Teenage boys who dare one another to enter a house in the woods which may be a doorway to Hell. An android who is ridiculed for claiming to be a prophet of God. These are the individual tales from a future in which the walls between the living and the dead, the past and the present, and emotions and programming are thin enough to hear the conversations between rooms.
