This bulletin contains information on provision for children who were under five years of age in January, 2000. It covers the private, voluntary, independent and maintained sectors and brings together previously published data and updates them to January 2000. It also contains information on staff numbers in maintained nursery schools and nursery classes in maintained primary schools.
