For anyone who is involved with the hearing impaired, preschool through adult. This richly illustrated book was written for the layman. Its purpose is to enlighten those who are interested in learning more about the world of the hearing impaired. Chapter One reflects Mr. Bradford's own personal experiences; the observations & comments are made from his perspective. Chapter Two includes the comments of other teachers & parents. He has found their insights to be invaluable in dealing with this handicap. Chapter Three contains interviews with several of his former hard of hearing & deaf students. It includes their thoughts about relationships with their families, friends, classmates, & teachers. Mr. Bradford has a Masters Degree in Special Education for the Acoustically Handicapped from the University of Northern Colorado. He also has a B.S.B.A. Degree & an M.B.A. Degree from Babson College. Mr. Bradford is hearing impaired. He has taught hard of hearing & deaf students for two years in the Corpus Christi Schools, & for five years at the Phoenix Day School for the Deaf.
