Interior Designer NOELANI MULDEN has always worked her fingers raw, sanding furniture, sewing curtains and passing herself off as her own assistant on the phone just to obtain credibility and respect. She has always had to rescue herself from all sorts of trouble, and this time doesn't look like an exception. Now pregnant, she finds herself on the run from the NYPD- and the father of her child, Corporate guru LORENZO VENTURELLI, for a crime she didn't commit. But Lorenzo's certainties start to crumble when he realizes that his thoughts fly to her more and more often. Battling between his commitment-free, easy life as a bachelor and his smoldering, incensing attraction for this odd girl, he begins to wonder what will become of Noelani's baby if she is found guilty. Now with no alibi and once again no one to help her, this time Noelani loses her freedom, her home, her identity, and has to start over. Once again.
