Can the girls beat all the odds and find the missionaries before time runs out? About the Author Don McDermott is the author of The Freestyle Five Adventure Series. He published the first book in the series, The Freestyle Five of the Fairview Ice Arena, when he was eighteen. In addition to implementing humor into his books, Don also enjoys using experiences and characters from real life in his writing. The Freestyle Five were inspired by five figure skaters who took lessons at the same ice rink where Don played hockey. He and his sisters, Cate and Alexandra, have their own writing group, The Sibling Writery.
