Within the pages of this book is the most comprehensive record of Hudsons and related makes ever put together. When first contemplated, the book was to be titled, THE CARS OF HUDSON, start with events that preceded and formalized founding of the company, and cover all Hudson, Essex and Terraplane models sold in the USA. But as research extended beyond the author's own collection of reference material, many other aspects of Hudson history were discovered and chosen for inclusion. The end result concentrates on the vehicles because they were the prime purpose of the book and the company, while many notations of events within the company, and things affecting it, qualified changing the title to THE HISTORY OF HUDSON. This effort is arranged chronologically, and pages packed with historic black and white photographs.
