This is a great teaching tool for a first time boater. As the title suggests, it is a basic overview of what is really important, yet presented in a fun, easy to remember format. It was originally devleoped for my teenagers to be "certified" in their boating skill knowledge. Has since been used in adult programs and as a scouting badge requirement. Takes about one hour to read and answer the fun questions in the workbook and works well as a group project.
