This is an InstaRead Summary of George Washington's Secret Six: The Spy Ring That Saved the American Revolution by Brian Kilmeade and Don Yaeger. Below is a preview of the earlier sections of the summary: Preface The existence of the Culper Spy Ring was known in the 1920s, but no one knew who its leader was until Morton Pennypacker, a Long Island historian, was given papers that led to his identity. He sent the papers for analysis and found that Robert Townsend was Culper Junior. Now the only spy whose identity is not known is a woman who has been identified as 355. The spy ring had six members: Robert Townsend, Austin Roe, Caleb Brewster, Abraham Woodhull, James Rivington and Agent 355. The book describes the work of the Culper Spy Ring and how they helped the Continental Army bring down the British Military, which was the most powerful military force in the world at that time.
