Daisuke, a fourteen-year-old boy who turns into his alter ego, the phantom thief Dark, every time he looks at his crush, Risa, finds himself in a terrible fix when he becomes trapped inside a painting he has given to Risa's twin Riku, and must depend on Dark to get it back before time runs out.
