Elucidates the structure and function of T lymphocytes, the commanding elements of the immune system, providing a balance between the basic principles and latest experimental findings of cellular immunology; and the hypotheses, speculations, and new projections that will inform the field during the careers of the graduates and postgraduates for whom the September 1991 NATO workshop in Porto Conte, Sardinia, was given.
