Does the brain create consciousness or does consciousness create the brain? Spiriduality explores the contrast between the physical world that is part of our third-person, consensus reality, and the consciousness world, which is first-person in nature and arguably the only thing that really exists for each one of us.Part I reframes reality and makes a case for why and how consciousness is the gateway and the only evidence we need to build a spiritual life, even if you're a very rational and evidence-oriented person. It also introduces the duality that makes our spiritual growth in a physical world so challenging.Part II introduces several spiritual concepts and serves as an introductory initiation for people who have never allowed themselves to seriously think about spirituality.Part III expands the ideas discussed in Part I and II, so we can apply those concepts into our institutions and organizations, since no individual spiritual transformation is thorough if we have to continuously deal with social structures and agreements that are purely third-person reality in nature.Spiriduality is the result of a lifetime quest around understanding who we truly are. As someone who went through a profound spiritual journey after a near-death experience, and having lived academia as a scientist and the more concrete business world as a consultant and entrepreneur, the author felt the need to share what he has learnt from all those different walks of life, including different countries and cultures. We're living turbulent times, and building a deep understanding of our true spiritual nature is pivotal for us to overcome the challenges ahead. By developing the notion of spiriduality we'll be better prepared to navigate a world that seems ever more complex and uncertain, but which, in reality, only gets more and more fascinating.
