Even with a good family and a future that looked bright, not everything turned out the way it was supposed to. Who knew there was an elevator ride from the farm fields to the pit? Poor choices and little supervision started an elevator ride into despair. Being rooted and grounded in nothing, too trusting, and easily manipulated, I rode the elevator as it descended lower and lower. But God was in control. He handpicked people to turn life around andteach lessons: a man on a bus, an animal control officer, a warehouse worker, neighbors, church people, the rental man, and a photographer s wife. Some people were there to heal, some to give hope, some to misguide, and some to manipulate. The ride up contained many lessons,some more painful than others. Healing, good choices, and staying the course were in God s plan for a prosperous life. Even after times when poor choices seemed to have put us too deep for help, and new mistakes were going to cancel out God s help, He showed mercy. To God be the glory for a life that went to the bottom...and then came back.
