This book is for anyone who has ever loved a child.89 year old Ms. Take, a retired school secretary and first time author, tells some of the memorable (some funny and some not so funny) real life experiences of 20 plus years working with the staff and kids in an elementary school in Southwestern Michigan. Some of the more colorful stories have been illustrated by her dear friend Nancy Fullerton.Please be aware that a few of the stories address adult themes and are not appropriate for young readers.Ms. Take is also sharing some of her rhymes throughout the book that have helped to keep her centered and that express her joy of life living in the Midwest. While all the stories are based on real events, all people, names, dates and places of the characters are changed to protect the guilty. As you read these short stories, she hopes you will develop a deeper empathy for teachers and school staff.All of the proceeds from this book are being dedicated to the Three Rivers Community Kitchen.
