The reception is over and the mother and father of bride are getting ready to leave. Something is bothering Dad. His "little girl" didn't say good-bye-at least, not just her to just him. Dad reminisces about how he'd tuck her in, and they'd act out the phrase "I love you so much you don't know, and I always will, no matter what you do" with hand motions. But that was long ago, and it's tough to see things change, even if for the better. Just then the bride and groom return because they forgot her bag. She starts to leave again without saying a special good-bye just to Dad. Unexpectedly, she signals Mom to get Dad's attention, and when he looks at her from across the room, she uses the old hand motions to signal their special daddy-daughter love phrase. Dad accompanies her motions in sync, and she blows him a kiss as she leaves. (Note: originally we used the song "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle from the CD Shades of Grace immediately following the sketch, but the sketch can also stand alone.)Topics: FATHER'S DAYCharacters: 3 MALES, 3 FEMALESParticipants: 6Author: Mark Demel
