LeBAR has been teaching Christian Education at Wheaton College since 1949, and she is now also director of the graduate program of Christian Education at Wheaton. She has had training in elementary and Christian education, and she has the B.A. degree in psychology from Roosevelt College, M.A. in Christian Education from Wheaton College, and the Ph.D. in religious education from New York University.
