"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union" is the authority of American Government and the origin of our purpose as a nation. We are now facing a looming threat to the freedom and democracy it authorizes.We the People are introduced as a republican democracy by our Founding Fathers in the Preamble to the Constitution--our national purpose. It establishes the basic principles that frame our new nation. These principles are best defined for the future of the country as Preamble 2.0. Every Member of Congress, the President, and each Justice of the Supreme Court takes an oath of office to honor the Constitution in word and spirit. The Preamble is the Code of Honor that guides these leading Oath Takers as they work for the well-being of all the American People.How do we measure our success or failure? How can each one of us be empowered with our commitment to Liberty and Justice for all? This work opens the door to a great collaboration that can bring us together to "secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity."
