Sunita is a delightfully humourous and heartwarming story about two women, Beena, a well-educated career woman of fifty, who was widowed twice, and Sunita, a budding Chartered Accountant in her early twenties. The action is set in the mid 1990s, in an India that was just opening up its economy. The bank pulls the plug and asks Beena to pay back her loan, just because the bank manager does not trust a woman. Sunita steps in to help and browbeats her way till she gets the loan paid back, even while she tries to manage her love life. The two ladies become thick friends and plan a celebration. That's when things go wrong. Hilarious and interesting turns of events, lead to resolving the situation.
