
Marcus Brumwell joined Stuart Advertising Agency as a secretary in 1924 and by the onset of war had acquired the firm. Stuarts was the platform from which he launched a surprising number of initiatives, being instrumental, with others, in founding the Advertising Service Guild, Mass-Observation and the Design Research Unit.
