Perceptions of something radically wrong in the natural environment first came to the attention of the churches in the 1960s. The 1970's saw a crescendo of activity. Everyone got into the act, so to speak, and debates rages over the tension between the longstanding social justice concerns of the church and the new need to protect, preserve, and enhance natural ecosystems. The 1990's will be a decade of a major policy and program effort related to environmental justice. Keeping and Healing the Creation contains a study guide developed by Carol Johnston. Also included is an excerpt from the General Assembly policy. At the end of the book is a list of resources for your use.
