The menehune are in trouble again. One of their own has been kidnapped by the worst troll in Kilakila. Victoria was forced to go to New York by her parents to keep her away from Leilani. She won’t be back for weeks. Victoria misses Leilani, Tutu, the menehune and Maui, the place she hated when she arrived, but can no longer think of another place she would rather live. Leilani wants to surf. She needs to practice and place high in the surfing competition in order to get a sponsorship. However, her Hawaiian heritage and blood wants to help the menehune who are also very important to her. Tutu is frustrated. She can’t help the menehune and she is disappointed in Leilani’s reaction and response to help them. She grew up helping the menehune and it is Leilani’s responsibility, as her granddaughter, to do the same. Can this mess wait to be fixed or will things just get worse?
