Allie Boy loves ice cream. He acquires a nickel after assisting his mother with a chore and wants to buy ice cream with it. Patricia Lampeter tells him about "Mr. Ding," the ice cream man who sells big cups for a nickel. Allie Boy waits for Mr. Ding, but has no luck. Where is "Mr. Ding?" Will Allie Boy ever get his big cup?
