Anna and the Apple Tree is the fifth book of the Read & Eat Series, a children's book series created by a Registered Dietitian to introduce children to nutrition and healthy eating through reading. In Anna and the Apple Tree, Anna helps Grandpa pick apples from his apple tree. Anna and Grandpa make homemade applesauce with the apples they pick so Anna's baby brother can enjoy the fresh apples as well. Grandpa teaches Anna about all the wonderful nutrients in applesauce while they cook together in the kitchen.
