This book provides new research in breast reconstruction surgery. Chapter One discusses the reconstruction of the nipple-areolar complex. Chapter Two examines the effect of post-mastectomy radiotherapy on the outcome of implant-based immediate breast reconstruction with or without a cellular collagen matrix. Chapter Three presents tips for safe maneuvering of deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flaps, as well as the implementation status of 3D imaging technology and its utility with regard to breast reconstruction using DIEP flaps. Chapter Four examines what to do after a free flap failure for breast reconstruction.
