The world turned against me. My husband divorcing me was one of the most difficult moments I would ever go through, as my struggles went on, also being confronted with the challenge of raising a child with autism. I chose not to be disappointed and vowed that my efforts would not be in vain. Despite names, labels, and unbearable misconceptions -- including being called a witch -- I chose to stand up for my son's life. The tough times I have endured during many difficult moments shaped who I have become! I have been able to impact the lives of thousands of children with autism in Tanzania by starting an organization named Living Together Autistic Foundation (Li-TAFO) to advocate for their rights and for the services they need for independence - and survival. This book was written to encourage parents (and especially single mothers) struggling to raise their children with autism, providing a message of hope to shake off their dust and rise again to maximize the abilities of those children whom they have been entrusted to by God.
