This classic book on cricket technique, the first of its kind, is one of the game's great literary masterpieces, covering many key aspects of the game including its origins, the rise of the Hambledon club, I Zingari, the impact of gambling, together with tutorials on batting, bowling and fielding. The first edition was published in 1851.
