January 1988. When teenagers from Russell's Retreat visit the seaside town of Nine Mile Beach during the Australian Bicentennial, it was supposed to be for the 'celebration of a nation'. Instead one false step turned the event into the fight of their lives. Outgunned and outnumbered, the boys would need to draw upon every inch of their wits and courage to survive.
