All over the world children are abused. The violence takes many forms. What happens to those children when they grow up? How can their words ever heal? Hawa Makhawa thought that she would not survive the constant physical and mental violence of her youth. Did she deserve this? One day, she was strong enough and able to escape her abusers. Even free from the grips of violence, she felt completely alone. She had lost all sense of the value of her life.
