Author Description

Eighteen articles provide those interested in DNA/RNA research with state-of-the-art methods for the synthesis, purification, and analysis of DNA and RNA fragments. The articles arise from lectures and demonstrations presented at a laboratory course sponsored by the European Molecular Biology Organization in March and April of 1982. The articles summarize the skills and experience of pioneers and researchers in the field. Due to the straightforward chemistry involved, all methods described can be used without sophisticated equipment and are suited to mechanization and automation.
