The dynamics of sensors is a difficult area for undergraduate students to grasp. For technical and economic reasons it is often impossible for them to gain this knowledge in laboratories. Now updated for use with Windows 98, this package is part of a set of three designed to overcome this problem by enabling students to experiment and learn using a PC. This package consists of a manual, containing theory and exercises, and an accompanying disk providing a means for experimenting with models of sensors. Topics include static characteristics, the dynamic model, the mechanical model, step response, frequency response, dynamic errors, the relationship between frequency and time domains, and design parameters and dynamic errors.
