The case is subjected to static pressure p and the outer bellows is therefore actuated by impact pressure H p. The effective areas of the bellows are so proportioned that, at the operating point of the device, the force exerted by the outer bellows is equal and oppo site to the force exerted by the inner bellows. Further increase of H p causes the outer bellows to lift the inner bellows off its stop and thus close the contact.
