This training circular supersedes FM 3-22.68, 21 July 2006. Training Circular (TC) 3-22.240 uses joint terms where applicable. Selected joint and Army terms anddefinitions appear in both the glossary and the text. Terms for which TC 3-22.240 is the proponent publication(the authority) are marked with an asterisk (*) in the glossary. Definitions for which TC 3-22.240 is theproponent publication are boldfaced in the text. For other definitions shown in the text, the term is italicized andthe number of the proponent publication follows the definition. The principal audience for TC 3-22.240 is all members of the profession of arms. Commanders and staffs ofArmy headquarters serving as joint task force or multinational headquarters should also refer to applicable jointor multinational doctrine concerning the range of military operations and joint or multinational forces. Trainersand educators throughout the Army will also use this publication.
