Army Techniques and Procedures (ATP) 3-20.98 provides the techniques for employmentof reconnaissance platoons of the reconnaissance squadrons in the Armored brigadecombat team (ABCT), Infantry brigade combat team (IBCT), Stryker brigade combat team(SBCT), and battlefield surveillance brigade (BFSB). This manual also applies to thereconnaissance platoons of the combined arms battalion (CAB), Stryker Infantry battalion,and the Infantry battalion of the IBCT, and provides techniques for the employment of thereconnaissance platoons throughout the range of military operations.
