The samurai are some of the greatest warriors ever known upon this world. They were men of honor and loyalty. Men who always did their duty, but never hesitated to think for themselves as well. Film is one of the best ways to examine the the samurai class because it is a popular and visual medium that people are familiar with. Within this book, we discovered what loyalty and justice meant to the samurai through films as familiar as Akira Kurosawa film "Seven Samurai", and more unfamiliar films like Guy Moshe's "Bunraku". Through film, the warrior class has been brought to life. Through this book, we shall look at the traditions, loyalties and and ideals of the warrior class of Japan.
