This book is meant as a guide for beginners who know little or nothing about the former East and West Germany. The book is written about two former countries that no longer exist East Germany and West Germany, these countries existed from 1949 to 1990. East Germany had several leaders during this period. Starting in 1949 there were two leaders Otto Grohl and Wilhelm Pieck, and the least leader of East Germany was Egon Krenz. West Germany had several leaders as well starting with Konrad Adenauer in 1949, and the last leader of West Germany was Helmut Kohl. The Berlin Wall fell on November 9, 1989. The author has written the book in such a way that is both informative and educational to both laymen and scholars alike.
