Rodger French is a professional musician happily married to a U.S. Foreign Service Officer. Since 2006, he has been reporting on his travels via a series of email postings. Unexpectedly, these modest essays have proven to be quite popular and many of his regular readers have clamoured... well, asked politely if they, the essays, might be published in book form. Vol. 5: Reflections From Roma is the fifth (and last) in the series. It was preceded by Vol. 1: Greetings From Ghana, Vol. 2: Postings From Pretoria, Vol. 3: Bulletins From Buenos Aires, and Vol. 4: Messages From Myanmar. Rodger has a somewhat unique perspective, being an expat musician, occasional U.S. Embassy employee, and enthusiastic traveler. His postings have been described by discerning readers as "great stuff", "wonderful to read", and "surprisingly well-written."
