In actual fact, light is needed for the assembly of the materials you will need for any activity. Without light, all eyes are blind and a blind man is handicapped as far as activities are concerned. Without light, there will be no single living creature on planet earth.When it was time for God to create man, He knew through His fore-knowledge that the first and the most important thing that man will need to inhabit planet earth is light; hence He commanded light into existence in Genesis 1:3.God does not need light to carry out all the activities that followed the creation of light. This is because He is the embodiment of light and He dwells in light. He created light solely for man whom He created to crown all His creation.
