Author Description

Catalogue of the graphic art (serigraphy, aquaforte, carborundum and lithography prints), created by painter, sculptor and graphic artist Antonio Seguí, (b. Argentina, lives and works in Paris since 1963) and known by his friends as "El Gallego Seguí". The exhibition included 122 prints donated by the artist to MALBA. According to the author, every one of his works is a story in which he usually includes his childhood memories and impressions of citizen life. The characters, both Tango and Argentine folklore, are hieratic and represent, in humorous terms, a critical perspective of society.
