"Picasso est sans doute le plus grand artiste du XXe siècle, et on ne compte plus les expositions qui lui ont été consacrées. Celle qui est proposée à Landerneau est singulière en ce qu'elle est constituée des seuls "Picasso de Picasso", soit uniquement à partir des oeuvres qu'il avait gardées toute sa vie auprès de lui dans ses différents ateliers, et dont, à sa mort, sa veuve Jacqueline hérita en partie. Celle-ci, à partir de ce très important ensemble, organisera ou participera activement à plusieurs expositions de l'oeuvre de son mari, jusqu'à sa propre disparition. Sa fille Catherine Hutin a alors poursuivi cette activité de diffusion et de meilleure connaissance de l'oeuvre de l'artiste par des participations généreuses à de nombreuses manifestations Picasso dans le monde entier.
