Author Description

Designed to supplement a one-semester organic chemistry lecture course, this laboratory text provides various experiments which aim to cover a wide range of difficulty, instrumentation and chemical techniques. Information concerning lab safety, waste disposal and instrumental methods are also included along with experiments that seek to illustrate basic organic chemical reactions relating to everyday materials. In particular, it features experiments which utilise gas or thin layer chromatography to determine composition and purity of reaction products.
