Set in provincial Italy during the early part of the Twentieth Century and narrated in the alternating voices of two sisters and their father, The Giuliani Sisters explores a disintegrating family’s perceptions of truth and the tragic consequences of self-deception. Classics Professor, Lauro Giuliani, convinced the blood of Ceasars flows through his veins, will not accept that the sins of the fathers afflict unto generations. He dismisses his first-born, Cira, as flighty and inconsequential and fixates on Ada, his illegitimate younger daughter.
